Liliana Herrero (1948) She was born in Villaguay, Entre Ríos. She lived for a long time in Rosario where she met countless musicians with whom she worked while also performing her duties as a professor and director of the philosophy career at the National University of Rosario. Respected and admired by her colleagues, she has been a fundamental participant in Argentine popular singing. Liliana renews with her singing the aesthetics of Argentine folklore bringing to the forefront the emotion of her voice. Winner of the most prestigious awards in Argentina, she began her artistic life as a singer in the 1960s. Since then, she has held aesthetic and cultural decisions dedicated mainly to diving in Argentine folk roots, giving them contemporary sounds and treatments, as well as venturing into various genres of popular music. In this way, she proposes a form of interpretation more linked to the re-composition than to the mere faithful copy of a popular work in its original version; believing that this is where the power of the work itself is found, in the possibility of resisting new visits and questions.

And it is also there where she manages to expose her rough and particular voice, which transcends stylistic borders to take over her own musical territory. Since 1987 she has developed a prolific record career, releasing more than fifteen of his own albums and having participated in many of the other artists. Liliana has revisited the work of emblematic composers such as Atahualpa Yupanqui, Gustavo "Cuchi" Leguizamón, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Fito Páez, Fernando Cabrera, among others. She has collaborated with Juan Falú, Fito Páez, Teresa Parodi, Itibere Zwarg, Fernando Cabrera, among others. Liliana Herrero has become an unavoidable reference in the field of Latin American popular music today.
